What is Exercise Physiology?

Exercise Physiology uses movement as medicine — combining science, coaching and clinical knowledge to help people manage chronic conditions, recover from injury, and improve long-term health.

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists (EPs) are university-qualified health professionals who design and deliver evidence-based exercise programs for people with acute, chronic or complex medical needs.

If you need a safe, structured and personalised way to get stronger, move better, and improve your health — this is for you.

Who We Help

Exercise Physiology can support people living with:

  • Diabetes (Type 1 & 2)
  • Heart & cardiovascular disease
  • Osteoarthritis & osteoporosis
  • Chronic pain & musculoskeletal injuries
  • Post-surgery & post-hospital rehab
  • Neurological conditions (MS, Parkinson’s, CP)
  • Mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, PTSD)
  • Cancer rehab & recovery
  • COPD, asthma & breathing conditions
  • Obesity, fatigue & metabolic disorders

And much more.
If exercise can improve it — we can help.

What To Expect

Your first session includes:

✅ Full health + movement assessment
✅ Discussion of goals, lifestyle and barriers
✅ Testing of strength, mobility, cardiovascular fitness or function (as needed)
✅ A tailored exercise plan designed for your body, condition and confidence level

Follow-up options include:

  • 1:1 supervised sessions
  • Small group sessions
  • Home, gym or clinic-based programs
  • Progress reviews and re-testing as you improve

The goal is simple:
To help you take control of your health and turn movement into long-term change — safely, confidently and at your pace.

Why Exercise Physiology Works

Because it treats the person, not just the condition.
We don’t just hand out an exercise sheet — we educate, coach and guide you through every step until movement becomes ability, not fear.
